You may have read about us making a sparkling wine, sadly, that won’t be out for another few years, BUT to celebrate, we have managed to convince Emma Rice to supply us with 40 bottles of the first ever sparkling wine that she made in the UK and she’s even signed the back of each one, read on…

Emma was at the helm of one of the UK’s largest sparkling wineries, Hattingley Valley, for 14 years, won UK Winemaker of the Year twice (the only female to do so), chairs the WineGB Winemaking technical committee and has won more awards than most winemakers in the world. What Emma doesn’t know about traditional method fizz isn’t worth knowing. Ask anyone in English wine if they know Emma and they absolutely do.

We managed to secure 40 bottles of her 2009 Vintage Winemakers Reserve to include in our next Mixcase Vol 2… These two bottles alone are worth £250 and they are literally some of the best English Sparkling wines available, they achieved 96 Points in this year’s Vinous review, the highest score for any English fizz and the Sur Lattes version (that we are including) also got 95 points in Decanter.
