heretics x exhibit69 Collab Chardonnay

Our first collab came together the way the best ones do – completely unplanned. Gareth was in his kitchen, tuned into the Ecstasy Sounds show on Boat Pod Radio. On the mic, Exhibit69. On the decks, TheSheJay. They’re a London duo blending art, music and fashion (ring any bells?). Gareth loved it and posted it on his Insta while the show was still on. Exhibit69 came back with a thank you, and the conversation just… flowed.

A week later, they were hanging out in town. Studio visit. Long riverside walk. Talk of a collab came naturally — no spreadsheets, no briefs, no mention of money (honestly, money wasn’t spoken about once). It was all about the energy. The kind of project you want to make just because it feels right.

A few months on, here we are: the first in a series of collaborations with artists we rate.

This is a limited edition run of 100 labels of our Deluxe Seven Chardonnay 2023.

‘Essex is rapidly becoming the place to grow top-quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and for this wine, we have worked with Missing Gate Vineyard. We wanted to keep this wine as fresh as possible, so we used a stainless steel fermentation tank, which was lees stirred and blended with a touch of wine fermented in neutral, old Burgundy barrels. We aren’t ones for flowery tasting notes laden with aromas and flavours that most people need help understanding, so we’ll keep this simple. The wine is fresh, clean, and lemony without being tart, It is beautifully balanced with a long length; you won’t notice the oak. Drink it with whatever you like – fish, a dancing partner, your picky father-in-law, Sault’s latest album (we can’t keep up), or even on your own with a bag of crisps and the stereo up to 11, or even 420, no judgements here.
